All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks
2.0
Love the structure and subject. Love the sources uplifted by hooks. Love the critique of patriarchy we expect from hooks’ work.
Arguments filling in the structure didn’t hold up for me. Language too glaringly binary. Was distracted by dated ideologies around gender and the negative portrayal of “young” people, so while it might have been an important book when published, I found it didn’t hold up. (*Currently squirming a bit offering a less than affirming critique of bell hooks.*)
