Captain Marvel, Volume 1: In Pursuit of Flight by Kelly Sue DeConnick
2.0
Captain Marvel (Ms Marvel changes her name to Captain Marvel, despite being a Colonel) travels through time just so we can see how women have fought against sexism through time. The time travel story doesn't make much sense. The artwork is nothing I appreciated, except for the covers. As someone else said, two of the main characters were largely indistinguishable in the last 2 issues, and the first 4 seemed to be done in water colors.
A strong backstory is important to a comic book. One thing I never understood is why we are supposed to care about Captain Marvel's quest. Batman is driven insane by watching the murder of his parents and so he spends his time trying to right that wrong. Spider-man's uncle gets killed and he learns about responsibility. But what the heck is Captain/Corporal/Ms Marvel fighting for? Women's lib? An alien she loves dies, that's what gives her superpowers....so is she fighting for love? If so, that was never made clear.
So, long paragraph made short, what the heck is her motivation? I have no idea.
Humorously DC owns the original Captain Marvel who seems to have no relation to this one.
