Pick it up to read a journey of women in art inspite of societal norms she is subjected ♥️
Six months back, when I very randomly came across a clip of her Oscar winning speech on Instagram & literally cried my heart out. I searched about her & came across this book. From that moment I have been waiting to read this one.
I just had this instinct that book will be close to my heart ♥️
"My biggest discovery was that you can literally re-create your life. You can redefine it. You don't have to live in the past."
I rarely read autobiography but that clip just changed something in me to go for this.
Even the journey is no way similar, the core of the book ; self love & finding yourself amidst everything this society & life throws at you will be relatable to each one of us out there.
"The purpose of life is to live it."
This book is so real & raw. My heart just cried out throughout the journey. But at the end of the end, it just gave me another perspective to seeing life.
"And once again, life continues. It keeps moving. It moves through deaths, tragedies. It doesn't wait for you to recover or heal before hitting again."
Everyone of us has a journey filled with traumas & hardships, only few can tell what they went through to the world Though It doesn't make yours any less.
But the ones we get know, just changes something inside us & I really thing that is beautiful & soulful ♥️
"My art, in this instance, was the best healing tool to resolve my past, the best weapon that I had to conquer my present, and my gift to the future."
Even if you are not into autobiography books, just give this a read!
