A.D. 33 by Ted Dekker
5.0

Nothing I can say in this review will do this book justice.

Dekker so beautifully captures the essence of Jesus and makes me fall more and more in love with the Lord. He somehow manages to portray all of our fears, doubts, and struggles through Maviah's journey and enlightenment. Oh, how I love this book.

I can actually feel the story drawing my close to the scripture strewn throughout the book, and the fully-fleshed characters make it feel so tangible.

I fell in love with Saba and Talya, and absolutely adored their little family unit. I particularly enjoyed meeting Mary through Maviah's eyes and witnessing their interactions with each other and Jesus.

I laughed and cried during this book several times. The emotional charge behind the words are intense, but I loved every second of it.

I highly recommend A.D. 33, and I will definitely be reaching for this book again in the future.
