Crier's War
by Nina Varela
It's not the book for me. There happened so much, but also nothing at all. For me, that likes plot and character development, this book was nothing special. There's not much actual change with actual consequences that I hadn't already expected.
And the unexpected plots were quite dumb. For example the fact that Crier's father never wanted her to be his successor... like why? Why was that necessary? To put a strain on the relationship between Crier and her father? Because I'd think that it were better for him that his daughter succeeds him, so that he still has control and not let some random dude marry her and take control.
