As my boyfriend says when an episode of a show ends awkwardly: “That’s a yikes from me, dawg.” I found the ending completely random - no resolve over the Rukimini/Neela fight, no explanation as to why Neela joined the Hayley concert, and where did Rukimini disappear to anyways? Lots of unanswered questions.
These characters are in their 30’s but act like children who don’t know how to communicate with each other. The book only got interesting by the second half and even then, it doesn’t make up for my confusion over the abrupt ending.
