What I loved:
-the history brought into the book and story
-Kirie’s interest in helping others, not hurting them
-Luca/Kirie’s connection
-The light vs dark theme
What I hated:
-Kirie was a bit immature for her age of 17 (calling her mom “mommy” and asking very basic questions)
-French phrases were used but there wasn’t a translation
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Death of parent, Car accident, Death, Murder, and Blood
Moderate: Vomit and Violence
Minor: Fire/Fire injury and Genocide
