“Local Woman Missing” is not a bad book, but the execution was not great either…

For over half of the book, I was sitting at 2.5 stars because I did not like the writing style. It is written more tell than show. The sentences are very simple which made it very boring and lack depth. I could not connect with any of the characters, and the plot was relatively slow till the last 50+ pages.

The only reason I raised it to 2.75 stars is because of the reveals and twists at the end made it more exciting. However, I can’t let plot twists cover all the plot holes…

To be honest, most of the crimes committed resulted in poor choices by the victims:
🚨 Bad marriages with terrible communication
🚨 Not reading into the signs of bad friends
🚨 Lack of awareness in a survival situation
🚨 People not knowing how to do their jobs and blind trust in authority

The only true victims I genuinely felt bad for was
Carly Byrd
, Delilah, and Josh 🫣

All in all, it wasn’t a bad story, and the ending made it more worth it, but it could have been better.
