I was such a fan of the movie and was super excited to find this on the library shelf. It was a great look into the real life of 'The Butler' and how the article inspired the movie. The first half of the book focused on Eugene and his life at the White House and his family. The second half spoke about making the movie and the history of blacks in cinema. When reading about Sidney Poitier and Birth of a Nation, it was eye opening and scary to see the same issues happening currently. Overall, a great insightful read for any fan of the movie.
