Two spies in the Tudor/Elizabethan era fall for each other with a backdrop of murder plots and constant threat of being labeled a heretic?? Literally what more could you ask for. It's unabashedly romantic and I don't know that I've ever been more frustrated/enamoured with a man who spouts baudy poetry and song that I am with Christian, but there's also real through lines of revenge and courage here.
Graphic: Sexual content, Torture, and Murder
Moderate: Violence, Fire/Fire injury, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Physical abuse and Suicidal thoughts
