This is a novella based on The Appeal. I didn’t know that before reading this book and I believe that the first one should be read to be familiarized with the characters. There were too many characters introduced at one time that I couldn’t keep track of them. As this is a solve the mystery type of book. it makes it less fun. However, I did enjoy the way the story was set up with letters, emails, texts, etc. 

 

This was a very short book and a very festive one that was perfect for Christmas. I know if I read book 1, I would feel differently about this book. If you read book would, I would recommend checking this book out so you can follow on with this world.
