Even though, it took me a while to finish this book (I have issues with picking books up again when I had to stop for whatever reason and everybody is in a good/happy place. /o\), I love it.
I like the characters - main and support. I like the story. I even like the "enemies to lover" trope in this case. I like that it is, like the author says themselves, a little escapism AU version of our world - a world I would like to live in. Yes, it still has its problems but some things aren't or aren't going to be anymore.
I really like Alex and Bea a lot. I love Henry. I adore Alex and Henry together. I love their siblings, friends and family who stand with and support them. I love how, at one point, their Moms say, Fuck it, and do everything in their power to make things happen - even if one of them had to get their act together first.
Some things have been a bit cheesy or predictable. Some of it is very political. But all in all it didn't bother me because everything else worked very well for me.
