Cherished by the Agent by Kennedy L. Mitchell
5.0
Veterinarian Anne inherited the family ranch in an isolated town in Texas and her guesthouse was perfect for people under the protection of the marshal to stay when needed. She is struggling to keep everything running on the ranch while trying to find reliable and trustworthy workers. So, she was open to allowing Gray to help her while he was staying in her guesthouse.
DEA agent Gray had been undercover for years while trying to take down a drug lord in Florida. He had seen and done horrible things while undercover and now Gray is on the run from the drug lord for his part in taking him down.
Cherished by the Agent is the second book in the In Clear Sight series. I loved the first book and was so excited about this one. We met Anne in the first book and saw how she was struggling with her ranch, so I was so glad to see her find her happy ever after. She had always felt like she couldn’t connect with anyone, and that she was the problem but with Gray it was different. She was attracted to and connected with Gray right away. Gray felt guilty for all he had been forced to do while undercover. He knew he had helped people from being hurt in the future but so many had already been hurt. This was an excellent book, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“Don’t let your past dictate who you are in the future. We all have a past, some of it we’re proud of, other bits not so much. That doesn’t make us good or bad - only our choices from now on do.”
