One thing I immediately enjoyed about this book was the recap included at the beginning - I personally began reading this as soon as I'd finished book one, but I absolutely wish more sequels did this.
Once again, as stated in my review for 'Into the Crooked Place' - between the two books a lot of the major twists were predictable, but I was hooked by the plot by this point and I think that the twists do fit very well within the story.
It was satisfying end to the duology, and had some fun moments of tension during the moments of action.
SPOILERS, though I'm not overly explicit
I do wish we had seen more consequences for our main characters, as if I'm remembering correctly, it felt very 'happily ever after' for our MCs.
