I think this is one of those books that presented me with questions to stew upon instead of answers. It made me think about how I had been socially conditioned to think about sex a certain way.
I was surprised that I resonated with various parts of the ace experience Chen describes that I did not know about before. At the core of this book, I feel is the advocacy for choice in how to interpret and practice sexuality if at all.
As a reader of romance novels, I now have a different lens with which to view them. Romance and sex does not have to be the norm in an intimate relationship.
