An entertaining police procedural read - 4*
It did not take me five months to read this book; this book was shelved from September 2015 to February 2016. I like to shelve the next book in the series so I remember which one's next.
I really enjoyed this story. The love story subplot I didn't particularly enjoy because it just distracted from the case and the ending - what is actually going on, Eleanor?! I loved the idea of the title the 'Lost Light' and I liked the idea that Harry is now a private investigator.
I wouldn't give it 5* because it doesn't have the 'zing' that previous books in the series (such as Concrete Blonde) had. I don't know what was missing but something was...
I will be continuing this series... to the Narrows!
