It just wasn't for me I think.
It had moments that gripped me and I loved the family dynamics.
But it was too YA, too 15-year-old boy for my personal taste.
And what really irked me was the story of the brother, which hang as this big secret in the air and then in about half a paragraph we get this completely wild story with no further context and that's it...
That took me completely out of the book.
And a bit of self-reflection on Ari's part in the end would have been nice, not his family having to explain his own feelings to him.
