Catch Me If You Can: The True Story of a Real Fake
by Frank W. Abagnale
adventurous
funny
fast-paced
If you Google Frank Abagnale, you’ll find that most of this ‘autobiography’ is untrue. However, I think Abagnale genuinely believes that these things happened. He mentions in the book that he has an incredible imagination, and I think this is one of the few truths in the book. He lives in his own imaginary world.
Another hilarious point is that he keeps going on about how handsome he was - Google images showed that this is also due to his imagination.
TW: There is quite a lot of sexism throughout the book (think Mad Men) - it’s important to remember that times were different and rampant sexism was normal back then.
Just take it as fictional and enjoy the ride. It’s an entertaining read.
