The second book definitely wasn’t needed. The pace was slow. We bounced around perspectives to side characters from book one that didn’t really interest me to begin with and there are too many books to read to waste more time on pushing through this.
A positive note is I do enjoy the authors writing style and will read any new books she released (unless it’s book 3 to The Golem and the Jinni)
