It's One of Us
by J.T. Ellison
This is a perfectly good middle-of-the-road thriller. Infertility plays a large role in the plot so beware if that's something you're not comfortable reading about. It isn't something I've struggled with personally so I don't feel like I'm in a position to judge how well (or not) it's handled. Other than that, there is a LOT going on. There's the missing/murdered women, Park's history, his writing career, his betrayal, his relationship with Olivia, Olivia and Perry, the break-ins, Scarlet and the Halves, her mom's layoff... I'll be honest, I did find myself getting distracted as I listened to the final chapters, so my grasp on the ending isn't as good as it would be if I had been reading it. However, it made sense to me and did manage to tie everything into a (somewhat sloppy) bow. Overall I don't feel any strong feelings about this either way. Solidly 3 stars.
Moderate: Infertility
