One of those books that had solid stuff to it, with interesting fantasy cultures (although a bit muddled) and good characters and DINOSAUR KNIGHTS but enough fumbles the end result isn't as awesome as I'd hoped. Jaume and Melodia were good, Karyl was intriguing, but Rob missed the mark and given how heavily he featured it took away from the book.
Could've been 4 stars but the last scene with Falk and Melodia was NOPE enough to take it down a star.
Kudos to the cover/chapter art, it's excellent.
I might read the sequel eventually.
