The Years That Matter Most: How College Makes or Breaks Us by Paul Tough

5.0

This book is simultaneously brilliant, infuriating, insightful, and depressing. On the one hand, the author lays out the data for just how utterly transformative a college degree can be in our society. And then on the other hand, he articulates just how rigged the system is in favor of the wealthy elite, and against truly brilliant students from a variety of backgrounds. Great read.
