The Great Transition by Nick Fuller Googins
3.25
adventurous dark medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I liked the setting and the premise of the book, it felt like a very possible direction human race could be heading. The characters were okay. I liked that we have two parents that represent two sides of the direction human race can take from this point. I also believe the way they raise her daughter is realistic as people with PTSD would raise a child, both wanting her to have a perfect life, unlike the one they themselves had at some points wanting her to know the struggle they went through that made them into who they were. The plot itself was okay but not particularly engaging. I liked the flashbacks up to a point then I kind of got tired of them.

In conclusion not a bad book but not a book that I think will stay in my mind.
