The Body Farm: Scarpetta 5 by Patricia Cornwell

3.0

I must admit, it is rather hard to write this review without spoiling anything.
So, spoilers it is. I will mark the entire review as spoiler, so you know what you get when reading this.
Also I skimmed a few of the bad reviews (1-2 star) and I agree, this is so far the worst in the series.
Spoiler
That Mark is missing is ok with me, never liked him anyway. But Kay thinks still too much about him, could have done without that.
Lucy was so far my favorite character, but in this book she is suddenly, without further warning, an alcoholic.
What is worse, and I thought I missed an entire story there, but the skimmed reviews said the same: there is no evidence in the book for that.
Only Kay says it is so. Not very well written and totally unbelievable.
That she is also supposed to be gay, ok, could be experimenting, also not very well written.
Kay hm, too vigilante and dangerous ending, also with Lucy not very satisfying, too neat.

And not very much about the Body Farm, despite the title-giving place.

As I read the first 5 ebooks in this series back2back, I will take a break now.
Still, 3 stars, but also: not recommended and I am not too sure I will read more of the series.
