Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer

5.0

Amazing.

I tore through this harrowing and disturbing account of the 1996 Everest Disaster. I knew how it would end but, jeez. Now I'm completely obsessed with Mount Everest and continue to imagine myself up there, trying to navigate the Ice fall, walking past decade old frozen corpses, going crazy because of hypoxia, and chipping three inches of ice of somebody's half-dead face.

Seriously horrifying stuff in this book but absolutely thrilling and impossible to put down.
