I really enjoyed this book! I loved the Japanese mythology weaved throughout!

Some of my favorite things about this story were that a princess wasn't the prize but a prince was! I may have whooped out loud when Mari called Taro out for complaining about that when women deal with it every day. I also loved that Mari didn't remarry and she stood on her own, driving home the point that you don't need a man/to be married.
