Greywaren

I’m feeling a little fragile right now. The Raven Cycle was what kept me going during high school and at times these guys felt like my only friends. So I’m like DON’T TEXT ME DON’T TALK TO ME cause I don’t want this to be the end.
So I appreciate Maggie giving us an ending that reveres that journey. Time is circular and this universe is too.
BUT, the way we got to that ending didn’t feel quite as satisfying as it should have. There were a few plot points that were prominent in the first part of the story that just disappeared in the final third.
I don’t want to spoil anything but I feel like Matthew suffered the most from this. He has his autonomy breached again and again and it’s just forgotten about.
Again, the situation with Mór and the new Fenian? How did that come about? Is everyone comfortable with it? And what about Niall and Aurora? What about the idea that just because that nature has been dreamed into someone, it doesn’t make it any less real.
Overall, however, I’m satisfied. Greywaren just confirmed what we already knew that Ronan Lynch is the best-written character of all time. The flowers and the blood honestly.
Gansey was right. “You magnificent creature”.
