The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

5.0

This was the first Nicholas Sparks book that I ever read. My friend wanted to see the movie for her birthday, I thought it looked stupid but once I got there I loved it. We cried through like the whole thing like such girls. I unfortunately saw the movie before I read the book thanks to this. I decided to read the book and it was even better than the movie.Ronnie and Will are both inspiring teens in their own ways. Each of them learn and grow a lot that summer and Nicholas Sparks has definately written this story in a way that deserves to be read, no matter how old the story is(it's classic).
AFTER RE-READING: I think that the reason this story is so touching, and makes you cry no matter how predictable or how many times you read it is because it could happen to anyone. maybe not the part where your father is a piano teacher at Juliard. But anyone has someone they love that can get sick, or leave, or do something wrong. It can happen to all of us and this book is a reminder that we should enjoy the things that we have in the moment and never take them for granted because they are only here for a short, short while.
