I don’t think there’s a bad story in this book. There are definitely some really good and some less good stories, but I was really pleasantly surprised by the overall quality. I was really happy with the stories for the supes I’m most familiar with (Swamp Thing, Batman/Floronic Man, and Superman). For Swamp Thing and Superman especially, I felt the writing really captured who these heroes are at their core. Batman + Floronic Man’s story was genuinely spooky in the best way (and also the most sinister I think Woodrue has ever been—sorry, Alan!). Captain Carrot was new but very sweet and fun. The other stories vary a bit in quality and impact, but are overall pleasant and interesting vignettes of these characters’ lives.
