*spoiler ahead*

Am I always gonna have issues with Martin's books? I mean, sure the chemistry was great. But same with Intercepted, the male leads just had to be a-holes. TK accusing her of gold-digging? I mean, I get that anyone wouldn't immediately believe someone if told they had a child together but to outright accuse her of being her meal ticket? Literally an in-your-face moment? God, I was fuming! I actually was very glad Poppy did not lose her nerves and got to say something firmly but I don't get how she (again with these female leads) could easily forget that and act like it never happened (I do get why she had to for her child's sake but to be casual about it?). I just don't get it.

I get that he may be showing symptoms of brain injury because of the concussions from the sport but to say those things? It's not about the context but rather the content of his outburst that gets me in a mood.

It's like there are deeper issues other than the central conflicts of the story but they just get buried, without being properly addressed. And I really really like Martin's stories but..

Plus, don't get me started on the technical errors.

Poppy was sixteen when she got pregnant so depending on the exact month of her actual delivery let's say she gave birth when she was seventeen. In the entire course of the book Ace is nine. But on Chapter 3, she says, "I'm TWENTY-SEVEN, for goodness' sakes!" when she was talking with her nine-year-old son. So, if she gave birth at seventeen, shouldn't she be twenty-five in the story? Not twenty-seven?

Here's another one:
"I just had a long night at work." ----- when her new job is now a day-job?

Eh?

Last one:
"I climb into TK's bed, dropping my head onto his chest and curling into his side."
"..he drops HIS FOREHEAD TO MINE and the only thing I feel are his tears falling onto my face."

Uhmm, how?

Seriously, sorry for these, but what happened to editing?
