The pace and style of this book took some getting used to and I almost gave up on it ~50% of the way through, but am glad I persisted. The juxtaposition of the pre- and post-fever timelines is eerie but often full of unexpected parallels, which I enjoyed. This is not a book that answers a lot of questions or has a tidy ending, but was an enjoyable read.
