Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
5.0
Damnit Colleen Hoover, you done gone and did it again!
I stayed up until midnight to finish this book. Laying in bed, crying and laughing, while Joey is trying to sleep.
I. HAVE. NEVER. IN. MY. LIFE. HAD. A. BOOK. TO. HIT. ME. LIKE. THIS. ONE!!!!!!
I guess this is why...
After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter's life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.
The only person who hasn't closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna's daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna's life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does their risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistake of her past in order to build a future of hope and healing.
If you haven't picked up this book, you need to. I'm thankful to have asked my friends of Instagram what to read next or I wouldn't have read this one when I did.
Warning: you will need tissues and maybe nasal spray!
Colleen Hoover, you are absolutely brilliant in your writing! To be able to break a reader's heart and to mend it with such love is an amazing craft!
