The Bitterroot Inn by Devney Perry

5.0

FINALLY A 5 STAR IN THIS SERIES! I was beginning to think it wasn’t in the cards. How ironic that it was Maisy’s story when I liked her the least throughout the last four books.

I loved Maisy and Coby’s relationship and the life she built for them. Suddenly, I want to buy an inn in Montana.

Hunter is dreamy. Plain and simple. Thank God for dual POVs because I loved watching him fall for Maisy.

The suspense in this one was just right. The first four books were doing way too much and were so over the top. The kidnapping was still a BIT on the nose, but it worked. How many kidnappings can occur in one town though? Honestly.

I was itching to know Hunter’s backstory the whole time and Devney managed to surprise me. I thought for sure Nell was Everett’s sister. I was so thankful that Maisy didn’t technically break things off with Hunter when she found out the truth. AND that she acknowledged that he did try to fess up. I can’t stand a third act breakup and I definitely can’t stand an unreasonable FMC. Devney gave me neither and for that I adore her even more than I already did.

And PS. The found family in this series is beautiful. I want one!
