An incredible second entry to Malazan Book of the Fallen and one of the best, darkest, most tense books I've ever read. Deadhouse Gates levels everything from the first book up - beautiful writing, heartbreaking micro-arcs, incredible characters, tense plotting - in a way that will have you racing through to a big concluding act. A book I feel you have to sit with after finishing, in the best way. Best book I've read this year, and one I know I'll be thinking about for days to come.
