This is an exceptional work of fantasy. One of the standout features of this book to me is the amount of research that has gone into crafting it. The languages, the political relationships, Babel itself… simply everything.

The way that racism and oppression were written into the story was also simply amazing. The characters are forced to grapple with these issues throughout the book, and the author handles the subject matter with great sensitivity. The way that these themes influence the story is incredibly well done, and it adds an extra layer of depth to the already complex narrative.

Speaking of characters, they are easily one of the best aspects of Babel. Each character is unique and fully developed, with their own motivations and flaws. They are all incredibly interesting and in-depth, making it easy to become invested in their stories. It's impossible not to root for them and feel deeply connected to them.

Lastly, the idea behind this book is simply mind blowing. I have no idea how someone could come up with such a complex and intricate story, but the author and the team of people who worked on this book are clearly extremely talented. Overall, Babel is an absolute masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
