I keep waiting for Liz Tomforde to blow my mind, but all her books are stuck for me between 3.75 to 4.25 rating, which don't get me wrong is not by any means bad, it's just that given the popularity of this series, I expected at least one book to stand out.
Rewind It Back is one of the very few (I think 2, counting this one lol) second chance romances I read and I think this trope was done very well. It made a lot of sense why they broke up in the first place and how they mended that relationship. Rio is down so bad, I loved that. The friendship group also had their really nice full circle finale, it was a satisfying end to the series. One thing I loved but wish we got more of was how Hallie grounded Rio, I love this relationship dynamic, but it was just a few quick mentions through the book, I wish the author explored this more. Also while I'm talking about Hallie, She is such a good female character, so strong and resilient yet sensitive and relatable at the same time.
