Me Being Me Is Exactly as Insane as You Being You
by Todd Hasak-Lowy
4 Things About This Book (1 For Each of the Four Stars)
1. I picked it up because it's written in lists and interesting ways of presenting stories intrigue me.
2. It turns out lists are sometimes extremely efficient ways of getting across information to the reader. And sometimes the "lists" are just basically paragraphs of prose, so when some serious exposition or dialogue needs to happen that gets built in too.
3. I liked how the story didn't really tidy itself up. A neat and tidy ending wouldn't fit with the messiness the book explores.
4. There's a line on literally the last page that turns the list thing from a gimmick into something that totally makes sense. I basically said "oh!" out loud.
