The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren

adventurous funny lighthearted reflective medium-paced

5.0

Oh my goodness! This is my favorite contemporary romance I've ever read.
The plot is obviously a bit ridiculous and yet the story feels more "real" than most rom-com books.
I love our main characters and how they grow closer. The way Anna and Liam come together and handle the ridiculous situation they are in is so sweet.
I also appreciate that wealth and poverty are pointed out and addressed. This isn't a fun fantasy, rags to riches, type story. The excessive wealth of Liam's family is seen for what it is and not a dream life.
The characters actions have real consequences which is another refreshing change from many romance novels. The way Liam and Anna are able to overcome challenges is somewhat realistic. So many romance books have way over the top conflicts and then reconnect too easily. I appreciated how the authors resolved the conflict and strengthened the bond between the main characters.
I need to read more by these two authors now!!!
