Poison Fruit by Jacqueline Carey

3.0

I've only given this series a three because I can't say they're nearly as deep or inventive as her Kushiel series (although I really liked the unusual take on ghouls.) That being said, I still found myself reading them when I should have been doing other things, and going back to the library to get the next one right away -- her characters are all very appealing and real, and she adds nice touches of humor in the midst of all the introspection and philosophical angst. (And I find that true in the Kushiel books as well.)
