Brothers Ryuuichi & Kotarou lost their parents to a plane crash. and are taken in by the Gruff looking yet kindhearted Elder Chairman of an educational institution; who also lost her son and his wife in the crash. Under the condition that Ryuuichi joins the Babysitter's club and along with his toddler brother take care of other children of the School staff.

Contrary to the bittersweet premise, Gakuen babysitters is a Story with several heart warming and Tender moments; revolving around Ryuuichi trying his best to be an out of place single, too young parent to Kotarou, to whom his elder brother is the entire world.

We see as they interact with a whole slew of likable and empathetic characters, and grow up throughout the story, maturing in their own ways. It is touching to see their life, with the varying antics of the infants, with their inherent adorableness as well as brattiness. How all of them learn and mature towards adulthood just a bit by bit every day.

The Boys cannot change the hand fate has dealt them, and bring their parents back. And in moments when this realization hits them, like a weight they are shaken and despaired. But through each other, as well as the kindness of strangers they find the strength to live on, and aim for a better tomorrow.

Another aspect that i like about the writing are the supporting characters, and the glimpses into their occasional personalities. they are not present merely as caricatures to serve the plot. they too have lived a life, and are changed by their experiences. but yet again endure and live in what is, rather that that which was.

Through Naive and endearing day to day happenings we see how they as a family show their affection. as well as how no 2 families are brought up the same. each dealing with their own challenges, in their own way.
