So You Want to Be President?: The Revised and Updated Edition by Judith St George

3.0

The art is superb, but otherwise the book is scattered. It's trying to tell the mini-bios of all the presidents, pointing out that every sort of person had been a president. Except for a person of color (at the time of the book's writing) or a woman. This book is titled "So You Want to Be President" and it tries to show good presidential qualities. A better organization and a theme would have gone a long way to create a narrative out of this disjointed text. The illustrations go far to help, but the writing is simplistic and dull.
