When I heard about the premise for this book I knew I had to read it: Circus freaks (there is also a cult but I didn't know that at the time), but I am a sucker for psychotic stories.
The story centers around Oly, a former circus freak, which own parents basically bred her to be. There are two parallel stories of Oly growing up with her family, and Oly in the present with her daughter.
Honestly the story is preposterous, but the characters are great, and I was really invested in them.
