This book started out to be my least favorite of the series. The beginning seems rushed or thrown together. It's missing depth and details that the other books have. However, this is the only book that had me in tears twice and rooting for Hardin at one point and Tessa at another. Anna Todd captured Tessa's downward spiral into nothingness very well. I could feel her pain. I wish there was more on the release of Hardin's burdens - the root of his anger. I thought this revelation is important to set up for the rest of his story. I don't know why Tessa was mad about Hardin writing the book. Once she read it and nothing happened I was on team Hardin. His character showed huge transformations and waiting for Tessa to be ready was heartbreaking. There are so many life lessons in this series and I'm happy that everything worked out in the end, but I wish the ending had some of Hardin's rawness from the first book. The ending is almost too perfect for the characters.
