The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
4.0
I was debating whether to rate it 3 or 4 stars, the reason being that the start was mildly boring and disappointing. Now I know a lot of people might disagree with me, but I loved Louis from the first book to bits, I could truly understand him and despite what many say, I didn’t find him boring at all.
And I couldn’t really relate to Lestat at first, and frankly, he was kind of annoying.
BUT and here is the big but, about halfway through the book I started picking up a better pace and now here a spoiler warning just in case although it’s barely spoilers:
If only Marius and Thow Who Must Be Kept had appeared earlier on, I think would have been more enthralled.
This whole explanation of the lore, this unique take that I hadn’t read or seen before about how vampires came to be, it was simply fascinating to me and this is why finally i decided to give it 4 stars.
