I really enjoy this author’s legal mysteries and this one did not disappoint. Bocephus is struggling after the death of his wife when he is called back to defend the DA in Pulaski for the murder of Ex husband. There are lots of other suspects but she is not doing a lot to clear her name. While building a defense Bocephus uncovers lots of small town secrets. The mystery was good with lots of twists turns and surprises. I enjoy the setting and reading about many familiar places in Tennessee and Alabama. This is the first book in this series but takes place after the McMurtrie Drake series. Those should be read first as many of the characters and mysteries are in this book. Enjoy this twisty legal southern mystery
