There were some redeeming things about this book, but I'ma be honest: this is a 1.5 star read for me. I'm rounding down to bring the average closer to my ideal rating. This book had very little going for it and it is absolutely not something I will ever reread. It felt very much like the author had three goals in mind for this book: rewriting the Crucible, shaming teenage girls, and having there be the potential for a character to be an actual witch ala Stephen King's Carrie. There's also the vague implication that it's okay for a 23 year old teacher to date his 17 year old student. It's not okay - not even in the slightest. That's a horrendous power imbalance.

If you are considering this book, give it a miss.
