This is my first book by this author and sure won’t be the last I liked it.

This is the story of Gabe the detective and Josh the salonist. The story starts with a murder mystery that brings these two together. The start is not a smooth one, they start of as enemies who enjoy some hot scorching sex to lovers who enjoy cute moments together.

I Loved

-Gabe and Josh, I felt their connection from the start. Josh could be frustrating at times, but I understood his reservations.

-The writing, the plot flowed nicely, it was not OTT and there was balance between the mystery and the love story, and I was glad I did not know the unsub, this made the mystery part enjoyable.

-The supporting characters which include Josh’s friends Chazz and Meredith, Gabe’s partner Adrian and his wife.

-I loved the small town setting and its gossip. I would love to visit Josh’s salon.

I have discovered one of my major pet peeves is unnecessary miscommunication, there was none here when they argued and disagreed they talked it out like adults. I loved that.

It was amazing to me how much things could change after a few sentences were exchanged. It wasn't like Gabe and I sat on my couch and divulged every feeling we'd ever had. We told each other exactly how we felt about the argument we had and talked about how we could avoid it in the future.
