What a beautiful and fascinating story. Be prepared for the weight and length of this book, but know that your heart will ache and rejoice just as the families and characters in this book. A story that spans generations gives you enough time to fall in love with each character, almost as if you’re a member of the family, laughing and crying with them through each glory and tragedy. This book is heavy, but entrancing. I highly recommend listening, the author does a fantastic job narrating and creating a world where you can imagine the people and country that he loves as if you’re there.
