DNF - Chapter 16 of 40
I made it through the first book in the trilogy, [b:Dissident|28270232|Dissident (Bellator Saga, #1)|Cecilia London|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1456860150s/28270232.jpg|44277609], giving it three stars (See my review). I really struggled to connect with the second book. The pacing is incredibly slow and the story feels drawn out. The amount graphic violence depicted in virtually every chapter made it even more difficult to get through. I thought I was almost done, but when I realized I was only on chapter 16 of 40, I had to throw in the towel. Keep in mind that this is a six book series following the same storyline. I can't imagine why you'd need six books to tell this story.
I know this series is a winner for many readers, so it could just be me.
