This book hit me very hard in a way I never would have expected. My teacher confronted me about the fact I hadn’t been speaking much in class, and I told him I was falling behind, fighting back tears to say I’ll get the work done but I was having trouble generally being alive. When I finally finished this, I found a very shocking, honest depiction of depression that met me exactly where I was at. Where I’m at, even. I finished it so long ago  that I’m not sure how I’d react now, but it’s still very smartly written and concise.
